OEA COVID-19 FAQ

We are sharing the most recent update regarding Villanova University’s response to COVID-19. The University is committed to the safety and health of our community and visitors to campus and has created a robust FAQ website with detailed information on the impact of COVID-19 on our community.

To ensure the highest level of service is still available to our students and their families, the Office of Education Abroad have outlined some of the most frequently asked questions about our ongoing remote operations.

 

Starting Monday, March 23, all appointments will occur remotely via Zoom, a video conferencing tool.

Prior to the scheduled appointment, students will be emailed instructions on how to use Zoom along with an access link for their appointment. Students do not need to have Zoom previously installed; the only requirement is a device with internet access.

Appointment scheduling is available through Handshake.

Unfortunately, given the continued uncertainty around health concerns, anticipated travel restrictions, changes to overseas academic programs, and unanticipated lockdowns that could be imposed quickly, Villanova University has made the difficult decision to suspend the approval for undergraduate student participation in fall 2020 semester study abroad programs.

Moving forward, your OEA adviser is available via email or virtual appointment to discuss your specific situation and address any questions you may have regarding future plans.  If you’d like to schedule an individual appointment, please use Handshake to request a meeting. As a reminder, the Spring 2021 study abroad approval deadline is October 15, 2020

The difficult decision has been made to cancel all 2020 Villanova Summer programs.

The OEA staff will continue to be available via email and by phone during normal business hours.  

If you already have an OEA advisor, you can continue to communicate with them, as normal, via email.
